About the role
Trauma Surgeon position in a Level I Trauma hospital providing acute care and trauma services for adult patients.
Responsibilities
- Managing trauma and acute care surgeries
- Covering 24-hour call shifts
- Admissions rate of 40-80 patients daily
- Perform trauma assessments and interventions
- Collaborate with support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Utilize EMR for documentation and patient management
- Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Board-certified in surgery
- ATLS certification required
- BLS and DEA preferred
- Excellent clinical skills in trauma management and acute care
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Support staff
- NP and PA support
- Cerner EMR utilized
