About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
• Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values (HCAHPS)
• Documents all patient care and utilizes the Nursing Process for individual care to meet patient needs
• Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures
• Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals
• Assesses patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
• Performs procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider
• Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
• Performs the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response
• Maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state
• Appropriate communication skills
• Education: ASN, BSN preferred
