About the Role
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served
- Promotes customer service initiatives along with Skyline Medical Center Service Values (HCAHPS)
- Documents all patient care and utilizes the Nursing Process for individual care to meet patient needs
- Demonstrates ability to perform technical skills and procedures
- Promotes compliance with National Patient Safety Goals
- Assesses patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
- Performs procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider
- Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Performs the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response
- Maintains knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in Tennessee or appropriate compact state
- Appropriate communication skills
- Education: ASN, BSN preferred
