About the Role

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with medical providers. The RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care, serves as a patient advocate, and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipate patient needs, and resolve them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
