About the role

At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living. We are seeking an Associate Sales Representative to join our Orthopaedics-Trauma team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for impacting people's health and well-being, be bold and driven, and strive to exceed quotas and rankings year over year.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Trauma Sales Team within an assigned territory and hospital accounts.
  • Assist in the scheduling of operative cases, securing inventory for those cases, observing, and consulting the surgical team on Smith Nephew instrumentation and implants.
  • Assist in the logistical requirements associated with those cases.
  • Build rapport with surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), hospital staff, and co-workers to enhance access to customers.
  • Develop an effective territory business plan to generate revenue and meet/exceed quota.
  • Collaborate with teammates to take strategic responsibility for your area, providing data-driven, trusted solutions to customers.
  • Provide first-class technical support to ensure product availability meets customer and patient needs.
  • Partner with Smith+Nephew Reconstruction and Sports Medicine counterparts in the region to discover sales opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional sales experience.
  • Valid driver’s license applicable to current residence.

Qualifications

  • Ability to assimilate and learn a high level of technical information as it relates to surgery and procedures.
  • Self-motivated salesperson committed to driving the business forward.
  • Results-driven champion passionate about forming relationships to increase sales revenue within the territory and impact patient outcomes.
  • Resourceful consultant willing to work relentlessly to become proficient in joint reconstruction.

Skills

  • Technical expertise in the Orthopaedic Trauma portfolio.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Attention to detail and flexibility to work untraditional hours.

Pay

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $65,000 USD annually. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.

Schedule

Travel Requirements: within designated sales territory with 2-4 overnights a month. Infrequent national travel for events and conferences.
