Trauma Advanced Practice Position
Job Details
As a Trauma Surgery Advanced Practice Provider at Creighton University Medical Center, you will be a part of the implementing a 24/7 Coverage Program for all Trauma in-patient, ER Consults, Floor Consults, Responding to Trauma Activations and Nursing support and hiring an Advanced Practice Provider to cover the night shift to work our 3x12 shift.
- Active Rounding
- Preparing patients for discharge
- Pulling Chest Tubes
- Replacing Feeding Tubes
- Checking on Vitals
- Checking on Labs
- Running interference for the attending Physician
- Managing treatment plans
Job Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice training program (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
- Mutually meet board eligibility or certification requirements
- Active or eligible license in the state of Nebraska
- Strong clinical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and health-care professionals
- Able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families
