Transporter - Weekends/Weekdays/Holidays

Responsibilities

• Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support while escorting patients to areas throughout the hospital conducting yourself in a courteous manner and responding to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly.
• Spend quality time and build solid relationships with patients and their families.
• Go above and beyond for patients, deliver superior customer service and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.
• Transport patients from the nursing units to various hospital departments.
• Make pick-ups and deliveries of Medical Records, Lab Specimens, pharmacy and other equipment.
• May need to change O2 tanks, and apply O2 regulators on conveyance vehicles.

Requirements

• Weekends are required for the first 2 years.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Some previous experience in food service is desirable.
• Ability to follow simple directions.

Skills

• Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.
• Experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail industry.
• Shift includes weekdays, weekends and holidays and requires registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund.

Pay

Salary Range $24.94-$26.83/Hourly

Schedule

This is a full time day shift position, including weekends/holidays located at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in Flushing, NY. Schedule is 5 days a week 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
