Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed throughout the hospital.
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality during transport.
- Respond promptly to transport requests using dispatch systems.
- Maintain schedules and minimize wait times for patients and departments.
- Operate stretcher, wheelchairs, beds, and oxygen tanks safely.
- Clean and sanitize transport equipment after each use.
- Communicate clearly with nursing staff, dispatcher, and other departments.
- Follow all infection control protocols.
- Ability to walk long distances, push/pull heavy equipment, and assist with patient movement.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude at all times.
Requirements
- High School graduate/GED certificate.
Pay
The minimum rate of pay for this position is $16.50 per hour. The final rate will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and skills. This rate does not include bonuses, incentives, differential pay, or other forms of compensation.
