Responsibilities

• Transports patients and materials throughout all hospital areas, ensuring individual average transport time meets network leadership and campus needs.
• Maintains transport equipment and supplies in compliance with regulations, safety, and patient care protocols.
• Ensures customer service and quality standards are met for communication with patients, staff, and the public.
• Transports patients by wheelchair, stretcher, bed, or chair, and handles non-patient moves to and from designated areas or departments.
• Complies with all safety protocols, using proper body mechanics and ensuring patient safety during transfers.
• Operates company-issued mobile devices, which may include a dispatch role.
• Maintains accurate documentation and completes precise handoffs with clinical staff.
• Communicates appropriately with patients and care team members, verifying patient identity and informing them of their destination.
• Follows HonorHealth Standards of Conduct and demonstrates ICARE values at all times.
• Complies with established PPE guidelines and proper patient handling.
• Maintains and sanitizes wheelchairs and stretchers following established protocols; reports equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Utilizes Electronic Medical Record system(s) consistently for safe and efficient patient transport.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 6 months of work experience in healthcare and customer service (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required upon hire).

10:00 AM - 10:30 PM (Evening shift)
