Transporter - Part Time - Weekends-Weekday - 11am to 7pm

About the role

As a Transporter at NewYork-Presbyterian, you are essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly interactions to acting as a patient ambassador, you help provide a positive experience for everyone in the hospital. Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth, and support while escorting patients throughout the hospital, responding to their needs politely and promptly.

The Transporter/Messenger role is multi-faceted, focusing on patient and hospitality services, including transporting patients, patient supplies, and messengering. Deliver superior customer service, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with a day shift from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, including every weekend.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to various areas throughout the hospital in a courteous and professional manner.
• Respond to patients’ needs and inquiries politely and promptly.
• Transport patients, patient supplies, and perform messengering duties.
• Provide superior customer service, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Requirements

• Extensive customer service experience and a strong desire to prioritize patients.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or retail industry.

Pay

Salary range: $24.61–$26.46 per hour.

All roles require on-site presence, and employees should live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian. Travel expenses will not be reimbursed.
