Transporter/Lift Team - Part Time - Varied - La Jolla
Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla has served the greater San Diego community since 1924, providing distinguished care with several nationally ranked specialty programs. The hospital is the first in San Diego to be designated a Magnet Hospital by the American Nursing Association and shares a campus with the Barbey Family Emergency and Trauma Center (a Level I Trauma Center) and the renowned Prebys Cardiovascular Institute. Specialty programs include cancer care, heart surgery, orthopedic surgery, labor and delivery services (with a Level III neonatal intensive care unit), and a nationally designated Comprehensive Stroke Center.
About the role
Join the Patient Logistics Team as a Patient Transporter, where you will provide quality health services and make a positive difference in the health of individuals in the communities we serve. This is a part-time, benefit-eligible position for varied shifts located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.
Responsibilities
- Transport patients, supplies, and lab specimens
- Provide patient care as needed with support of licensed staff
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a position using customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Extensive customer service experience
- Desire to provide the highest quality of service
- Previous hospital experience (preferred)
