Responsibilities

• Consistently thorough to verify patient identification
• Verify all transport information on the patient's order
• Transport patients in a timely manner as requested
• Utilizes all safety equipment to secure the patient
• Explain the transport process to the patient and/or family member to facilitate cooperation and alleviate patient and/or family anxiety
• Consistently demonstrates competency in affective communication and proper body mechanics
• Performs medical transport for patients to and from the Radiology Department
• Applies proper body mechanics while lifting, pulling, and pushing patients and equipment during patient transfer and transport
• Performs accurate documentation of patient medical records
• Provides excellent patient care
• Cover all sites as necessary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: Previous experience with patient care in a hospital setting

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrates excellent customer service
