Responsibilities
- Establish good rapport with patients, public, and other hospital personnel
- Perform clerical duties as required
- Transport patients within the hospital using approved methods
- Absorb and assist staff with patient care needs
- Safely transport patients, including lifting or turning them
- Practice universal precautions at all times
- Check patient identification bands before transporting
- Comply with National Patient Safety Goals
- Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Have minimal computer experience
- Have general clerical experience
- Have patient care experience (desirable)
- Hold Management of Assaultive Behavior certification
