Transporter

Responsibilities

• Establish good rapport with patients, public, and other hospital personnel
• Perform clerical duties as required
• Transport patients within the hospital using approved methods
• Absorb and assist staff with patient care needs
• Safely transport patients, including lifting or turning them
• Practice universal precautions at all times
• Check patient identification bands before transporting
• Comply with National Patient Safety Goals
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Have minimal computer experience
• Have general clerical experience
• Have patient care experience (desirable)
• Hold Management of Assaultive Behavior certification
