Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate driver applications to confirm they meet company and DOT minimum qualifications standards.
- Collaborate with Terminal Managers to implement and monitor safety policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to ensure terminal operations comply with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Develop and deliver training programs focused on DOT compliance, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify training needs and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements at all levels of transportation operations.
- Conduct periodic safety audits and follow up on corrective measures.
- Conduct driver safety performance reviews including positive recognition, coaching, counselling, and disciplinary action.
- Utilize data, systems, and tools to identify risk behaviors and priorities, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Document and maintain accurate records of training, compliance, and safety activities.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on training outcomes, compliance status, and safety performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, logistics, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
- Proven experience in training and development, preferably in a transportation or logistics environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new software systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
