Transportation Engineer in Training

We are searching for an experienced Transportation Engineer in Training to support our Gulf Region operations in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze data for inclusion in project plans, technical reports, and engineering studies
- Assist with the development of traffic impact studies, interchange access requests, safety studies, traffic signal warrant studies, land use planning, master plan studies, bikeway planning and design, and community and campus planning
- Prepare and assist in preparing roadway design plans using OpenRoads Designer
- Work on traffic signal design plans for new intersections and signal modifications to facilitate multimodal accommodations
- Work on temporary traffic control plans/traffic management plans (TMP) and signing and pavement marking plans
- Assist in preparing conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, and signal timings
- Contribute to the preparation and modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects
- Prepare and assist in preparing project construction quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and schedules
- Review quantity estimates, details, calculations, and drawings for compliance with project requirements
- Attend project meetings with clients
- Learn project budgets to meet financial metrics
- Potential to learn and participate in business development activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in either Traffic or Roadway design.
