Responsibilities
- Material Testing Assistance: Assist with ensuring accuracy of test procedures and laboratory reports
- Shipment Observation: Observe material deliveries and review weigh slips for accuracy
- Quality Monitoring: Witness technicians conducting tests at various plants and quarries
- Sampling Documentation: Record sampling and testing methods properly and report issues promptly
- Compliance Review: Apply correct testing methods and review supplier compliance
- Quality Assurance: Ensure vendors follow quality control plans and complete required reports
Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch
- Work hours may change based on vendor availability
You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. To telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Uniontown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
Requirements
Minimum Experience and Training
- One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
- One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training
Other Requirements
- Possession of a valid PA Class C driver's license or equivalent
- Must meet the PA residency requirement
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
