Transportation Support Specialist - Part Time (Evening Shift)

What You Will Do

• Provide transportation and supervision of children to/from school, office, foster and/or group homes, and other locations in the community
• Provide supervision to youth at the office, during transport, or in other community locations, as required
• Utilize de-escalation and intervention techniques to assist in stabilizing youth in crisis
• Aid other program staff and intervene in crisis situations as necessary
• Create, strengthen, and maintain positive, supportive working relationships between youth, caregivers, and other professionals involved in serving the youth
• Complete documentation for services rendered within the required timeframes to case management program staff
• Absenteeism may be required for on-call duties in accordance with agency policy and program procedure

What You Will Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year of experience working with children and/or families preferred
• Knowledge of child development preferred
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, flexible, and empathetic ability
• Ability to function independently and as a team member
• Use of verbal de-escalation skills
• Ability to work in high-stress situations
• Ability to work with individuals who exhibit physically and/or verbally aggressive behaviors
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance coverage
