About the role

This role supports transportation operations across the Vetsource supply chain to ensure the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of products. The Transportation-Supply Chain Coordinator I coordinates inbound and outbound transportation activities, manages shipment execution, and resolves transportation exceptions to maintain reliable product flow and operational performance. This is a full-time, hybrid position at our Sandy Office, located at 17014 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland, OR 97230.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily inbound and outbound transportation activities to support the timely, accurate, and cost-effective movement of products across the Vetsource supply chain while supporting transportation continuity during operational disruptions.
  • Execute daily transportation activities including shipment coordination, carrier scheduling, track and trace, freight quote requests, receiving coordination, transportation supply management, and other operational responsibilities to ensure efficient shipment execution.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve shipment delays, delivery exceptions, damage claims, shipment visibility concerns, and other transportation exceptions while escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute assigned responsibilities while effectively managing workload, meeting commitments, and adapting to changing business priorities.
  • Monitor daily transportation activities, identify operational risks, and escalate issues that may impact service, cost, or operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate shipment records, transportation documentation, operational metrics, and system data to support reporting, compliance, and business decision making.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, investigate operational issues, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Utilize transportation, ERP, shipping, and collaboration systems to execute operational responsibilities while maintaining data integrity and operational visibility.
  • Develop productive working relationships with internal and external business partners through effective communication, collaboration, and customer service.
  • Identify opportunities to improve transportation processes, documentation, service performance, and operational efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
  • At least one year of experience in receiving, warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, fulfillment, transportation, customer service, or another related operational or supply chain environment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment while managing multiple priorities and changing business demands.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace applications, including spreadsheets, word processing, presentation, email, and collaboration tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn, effectively utilize, and adapt to ERP systems, business applications, and other technology to support operational execution, data analysis, collaboration, and decision making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting transportation, logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations.
  • Experience working with parcel, LTL, or freight transportation operations.

Pay

Pay range (US-based applicants): $24.73 - $30.91 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education, and training, while also considering internal equity.
