Primary Responsibilities
- Track and expedite purchase orders from release through delivery, including acknowledgements, fabrication milestones, shipment readiness, and on-time performance.
- Maintain expediting trackers/dashboards (critical path/long-lead items, shipping status, inspection points, and vendor data) and provide clear delivery forecasts to the project team.
- Drive supplier follow-up to confirm schedules, remove constraints, and execute recovery plans for at-risk deliverables; escalate risks with recommended actions to Buyers and Project Controls.
- Cook logistics and delivery readiness (packaging/preservation, freight booking, shipping documentation, and site receiving plans) aligned with project needs.
- Cook quality, inspection, and documentation requirements (e.g., ITP/hold points, material certs, manuals, as-builts) to ensure compliance with contract/specification and quality program requirements.
- Support Buyers as needed (RFQ/PO administration, change documentation) and help resolve shortages, damages, nonconformances, and invoice/shipping discrepancies by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1–4 years of experience in procurement coordination, expediting, supply chain, logistics, project controls, or a related role (internships/co-ops considered).
- Working understanding of purchase order lifecycle, supplier communication, delivery tracking, and basic logistics concepts (Incoterms/shipping documentation a plus).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a schedule-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort maintaining trackers and status reporting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including professional follow-up with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Able to identify risks, propose practical recovery actions, and escalate issues with clear, timely information.
- Must be eligible to work under U.S. federal code 10 CFR 810.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting construction, manufacturing, EPC, or energy projects with a focus on material/equipment delivery tracking and supplier follow-up.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment, technical drawings, and/or inspection and test documentation (e.g., material certifications, turnover packages, vendor data).
- Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and/or procurement and expediting tools; ability to extract and reconcile status from multiple systems.
- Interest in nuclear energy or clean energy technologies; comfort working in a quality- and procedure-driven environment.
