About the role

This role puts you at the heart of one of the most respected food distributors in the country. You’ll lead drivers, elevate performance, and help keep a massive distribution network running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers: staffing, training, coaching, performance management, problem resolution
• Ride along with drivers for training, evaluation, and safety reinforcement
• Ensure timely deliveries and pickups; assist with scheduling
• Support Transportation/Operations Manager with daily administration
• Monitor vehicle safety, ramp usage, lifting practices, and product-handling standards
• Track driver data: license status, tickets, accidents, safety metrics
• Review post-trip inspections and ensure proper truck/trailer maintenance
• Operate computerized fleet management systems (Samsara, Xata, Roadnet)
• Cover routes when needed
• Perform other duties to best serve the company

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED (Associate degree a plus)
• 4+ years transportation experience in the distribution, or trucking industry working with a private fleet (food distribution a plus)
• 2+ years transportation supervisory experience
• Strong knowledge of DOT and safety regulations
• Experience with fleet management systems (Samsara, Xata, Roadnet)
• Class A CDL preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Must be local to the Atlanta Metro area — ideally the Northern suburbs
