Transportation Supervisor

About the role
This position supports multi-unit operations across Cabazon and Lakeside, CA; Las Vegas, NV; and Phoenix, AZ, with 20-25% travel required.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage the Deployment and Production planning strategy for the West region network (including manufacturing sites and 3rd party warehouses).
- Collaborate with customer service, transportation, sales, and technical and production teams to ensure case fill targets are met.
- Manage the sourcing of customer orders based on product availability.
- Create and control the Master Production Schedule to maximize production capabilities while balancing demand of a rolling forecast to ensure supply.
- Manage a large portion of the logistics budget as it relates to forecasting inventory moves and warehousing costs for a 12-18 month horizon.
- Perform detailed production, inventory, and sales analysis to ensure execution of the most optimal supply plan from both a cost and service standpoint.
- Develop tools and processes focused on increasing direct ship and line load opportunities.
- Oversee and manage all activities performed by Deployment planners.
- Maintain expertise in systems knowledge and recommend new procedures to enhance the performance of the planning and scheduling system.
- Provide scheduling and demand history reports on an as-needed basis.
- Create and analyze spreadsheets, charts, graphs, and reports relating to backorders, inventory, fill rates, and other critical business issues.
- Communicate with leadership teams and coordinate warehouse transfers and repositions to maintain target inventory levels.
- Develop training guides, process changes, and SOPs as needed.
- Support efforts to dispose of stagnant inventory and seek opportunities to reapply to new orders.
- Assist planners/schedulers in making production changes in response to planned or unplanned outages.
- Maintain SAP master data settings for new item setups, product transitions, and all key functionality.
- Other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering (a plus), or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of leadership experience within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment required; fleet experience preferred.
- Experience with problem-solving methodologies including Lean manufacturing, DMAIC projects, and/or Six Sigma highly desired.
- Prior experience with raw material purchasing, production planning, and/or production operations required.
- Strong analytical capabilities utilizing Excel and/or Access required.
- Must be a people-oriented leader with experience in developing leadership and increasing the capability of others.
- Prior manager/supervisor experience required.
- Ability to handle multiple people and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Customer-focused attitude in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with computers and Windows-based software.
- Experience with an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle preferred.
- Strong English language skills required for effective communication with customers and team members.

Pay
Salary Range: $98,365.30 – $117,317.20. This position is eligible for a bonus.
Schedule
Monday – Friday, 7 AM – 4 PM, with extended hours and occasional weekends based on business needs.
