Responsibilities
- Supervise transportation in compliance with government and management directives.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise administrative and programmatic activities of the department.
- Identify and recommend off-limits areas contributing to negative student behavior; ensure student activities are monitored.
- Act as liaison with federal agencies (GSA and DOL) to requisition vehicles and ensure drivers are properly licensed.
- Develop and implement orientation and in-service training programs for staff on safe driving practices.
- Develop and monitor schedules for drivers to meet student transportation needs; ensure drivers are properly licensed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area that models high standards for a work environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree preferred, two (2) years related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Directly related experience, excellent written and verbal communications skills, and computer proficiency required.
- Valid Class B CDL license with an acceptable driving record or must obtain permit within 90 days and CDL within 150 days of employment with passenger endorsement.
