Transportation Supervisor - Airline Catering

About the role

SkyChefs is seeking a Transportation Supervisor - Airline Catering to join our dynamic team. This position is based in Baltimore, USA-21240.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper organization, staffing, and direction of the area of responsibility, meeting delivery time targets
• Schedule and control staff to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
• Maintain compliance with government regulatory agencies' standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, HACCP)
• Document and follow up on department processes to implement improvements
• Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety regulations
• Guide, motivate, and develop staff within HR policies
• Manage productivity hours and costs, initiating and steering corrective actions for deviations
• Support company-sponsored initiatives like Quality, HACCP, Lean Manufacturing, Employee Safety, and Production systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• One to three years of related work experience
• Problem-solving and leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and lead others to achieve desired results and productivity goals
• Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based computer applications
