Transportation Supervisor 2

Pay

$20 per hour

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 5:30 am – 2:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Assists in the direction of work to meet pickup and delivery schedules
• Assumes dock area responsibilities in the absence of supervisor
• Assists in training and evaluation of dock personnel
• Responsible for housekeeping of dock area, truck wells, and removal of trash
• Monitors trash compactor
• Ability to drive a 53 ft semi or box truck when needed
• Monitors metal salvage
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, maintaining a good attendance record

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• Valid Michigan Commercial driver's license with the endorsements required to drive a 53 ft semi and box truck, along with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Clearinghouse License reference check
• Logistics experience is preferred; management experience required
• Knowledge and experience with unions preferred
• Computer competencies, including MS Word and Excel, and a strong emphasis on safety are required
• Show initiative, good judgment, and dependability
