Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport production ag and energy products to designated locations.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of production ag input and energy products to customers, following all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of production ag input and energy products, ensuring they are securely fastened and properly stored.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery orders and manage documentation such as delivery receipts and logs.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues or damage to the vehicles promptly and coordinate repairs as needed.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding the operation of commercial vehicles.
- Follow company safety policies and procedures, including properly handling and transporting hazardous materials.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with customers, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction with deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents during transport.
- Submit reports and documentation as required by the company and regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications And Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Obtain a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with required endorsements (e.g., HazMat, Tanker) within six months of employment and maintain a clean driving record.
- Follow safety and compliance standards to help ensure their well-being and the safety of others.
- Previous Experience In Agronomy Or Energy Transportation Is Preferred.
- Knowledge of safe handling and transportation of crop production input and energy products, including hazardous materials.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as required for loading and unloading.
- The role involves physical labor, including lifting and moving heavy products.
- Basic mechanical skills for vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- This position requires driving for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
