Transportation Specialist for Residential Facility

Responsibilities
- Arranges and schedules transportation to the bus station, airport, appointments requested from health services, and appointments requested from facility/supervisor.
- Ensures that each client requiring transportation receives safe transportation, and understands the purpose for all departments.
- Captures transportation services for all departments.
- Transport clients to and from appointments/new admissions, etc.
- Helps out with any transport needs when available.
- Completes van usage logs and driver daily van inspection checklists.
- Maintains and cleans the van, performs preventative maintenance.
- Performs errands as required by the facility.
- Adheres to facility confidentiality policies and procedures.
- Ensures all passengers in the vehicle are wearing seat belts and adhere to no smoking or eating policy in facility vehicle.
Qualifications
- Experience working in residential treatment, or working with individuals with multiple conditions.
- Sensitive, receptive, and mature enough to be neither upset by the residents, nor cause the residents further adjustment difficulties.
- Function effectively in an interdisciplinary team approach, and participate in, and profit from in-service and on-the-job training.
- Maintain an attitude toward interactions with clients that is objective, free from personal bias; one that allows for perspective and flexibility in observing groups and individual behavior patterns.
- Current First Aid and CPR training or complete within first 30 days of hire.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
