Transportation Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Operate various screening equipment.
• Communicate and interact with travelers.

Requirements

• Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
• Must possess customer service skills.
• Pass a computerized assessment (grammar and ability to interpret X-rays).
• Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass a TSA background and financial records check.
• Able to work any day, Monday – Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust.

Pay

Anticipated starting pay for this position is $25.56 and is determined based on certifications, years of service, and in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and/or Department of Labor Service Contract Act (SCA) wage determination.

Schedule

• Monday – Sunday.
• Any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM.
