Transportation Scheduler

Location: Bedford and Somerset, PA (work days rotate between these job sites)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule passenger van transportation services as requested by the Interdisciplinary Team under the direction and supervision of the Transportation Supervisor.
• Assess and plan transportation scheduling services for frail, older adults according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in transportation scheduling and/or logistics, and basic level in Excel.
• Prior experience in the geriatric field is helpful.
• Valid PA Driver’s license.

Skills

• Knowledge of the area roads in the program’s service area.
• Basic skill levels in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and iPhone usage.
• Ability to handle information confidentially.
• Ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with participants and other staff.
• Good interpersonal skills and mental alertness.
• Ability to effectively plan and organize assignments efficiently.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to function in stressful situations.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality.
• Ability to give direction as necessary.
• Ability to work as a team member.
