Transportation Safety Auditor PM

About the role

This individual supervises the transportation safety auditor team, ensuring the safety of the transportation department. Responsibilities include training, monitoring, and auditing all safety processes for the department. The role is primarily based at the airport near aircraft and other motor vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Drivers and Ramp personnel perform their job in a safe manner in line with airport regulations and traffic laws.
• Coordinate and perform new hire safety training, ensuring all Drivers are properly trained before starting work.
• Track audit reports and progress using spreadsheets and online tools.
• Perform at least 17 ramp safety and ramp security audits per shift at the airport.
• Provide refresher training for current drivers and helpers.
• Issue corrective actions where compliance is not met repetitively.
• Perform additional safety audits as needed.
• Respond to incidents on the ramp, conduct full investigations, and submit all required paperwork to management.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles.
• Regular and timely attendance is expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Current and valid state-issued Driver License with a safe driving record.
• Prior experience working in food service preferred.
• Previous experience in a compliance-enforcing role, such as safety, HR, auditing, or a similar field.

• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends (depending on assigned shift), and overtime when required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
