Transportation Project Manager - Roadway
About the role
Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc (CEC) is seeking an entrepreneurial candidate to assist in the expansion of the firm’s transportation engineering practice by leading the firm’s roadway design efforts in Pennsylvania, from our Pittsburgh, PA office.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and technical growth opportunities working with local and regional teams of transportation professionals.
- Lead the firm’s roadway design efforts in Pennsylvania, focusing on the PA, OH, and WV geographies, with potential for nationwide expansion.
- Manage projects and coordinate with other disciplines, including site grading, hydrology, hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities.
- Develop and manage proposals, prepare cost estimates, and prepare roadway design plans and driveways permits, including right-of-way acquisition and application preparation.
- Work with InRoads and/or AutoCAD for roadway design and construction documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required
- 10+ years of experience in providing roadway and traffic design services
- 5+ years of experience managing projects and coordinating with other disciplines
- Experience in traffic and safety engineering preferred
- Diverse roadway geometric design, pavement design, construction document preparation, Right-of-Way Plan preparation and regulation knowledge
Qualifications
- Strong business development, proposal writing, communication, staff development, and organizational skills
- Experience in site grading and drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, stormwater management, erosion and sediment pollution control, and utilities
- Experience with traffic and safety engineering
Skills
- Proficiency in InRoads and/or AutoCAD
