About the role

Lead the planning and delivery of transportation projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong communication and successful project outcomes.
Own project performance, including financial management, scheduling, and resource coordination.
Oversee quality of deliverables, ensuring alignment with company standards and design guidelines.
Support and lead proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts.
Mentor and guide team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and delivery of transportation projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain strong communication and successful project outcomes.
  • Own project performance, including financial management, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Oversee quality of deliverables, ensuring alignment with company standards and design guidelines.
  • Support and lead proposal development, client presentations, and business development efforts.
  • Mentor and guide team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license in South Dakota (MUST HAVE)
  • At least ten years of experience in highway or roadway design with project management responsibility
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and experience working with clients and leading teams
  • Familiarity with industry tools such as MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer
  • Experience with SDDOT projects is highly preferred
