Summary Of Responsibilities

Operate several software programs, a radio system, camera systems, and use satellite radio.

Aid in reporting and coordinating emergency responses to incidents on a statewide level.

Answer several incoming phone numbers 24/7, providing after-hours support to the districts and other agencies.

Monitor video feeds, traffic sensors, email, and websites to detect incidents that disrupt traffic.

Cook up with other State and Federal agencies for response to and mitigation of incidents, including severe weather and mass population impacted emergencies.

Ideal Candidate

Will have experience in receiving and relaying of electronic information for law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, emergency management, military communications or traffic operations agency.

Knowledge of proper radio operation and procedures for law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, emergency management, military communications or traffic operations agency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education: High school graduate.
  • Experience, Training, or Skills: Must have two years of experience in security operations, in the transmission, receiving and relaying of electronic information for law enforcement, emergency medical, fire, emergency management, military communications or traffic operations agency.
  • Substitute Education for Experience: College will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis up to a maximum of two years.
  • Special Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license to qualify for employment in this job classification. Applicants and employees in this classification shall be required to pass a background check. Applicants must not have been convicted of any felony crime. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification.
