Transportation Operations Manager II
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage carrier relationships, oversee delivery management, and ensure vendor compliance. The role involves coordinating various logistics activities, supervising associates, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and support business needs.
What You'll Do
Coordination and Oversight: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs. Identify and communicate goals and objectives. Build accountability and measure progress in achieving results. Identify and address improvement opportunities. Demonstrate adaptability and promote continuous learning.
Carrier Management & Capacity Planning: Manage relationships and order execution with carriers for a small book of business. Review carrier metrics and KPIs to ensure on-time delivery and performance goals are met. Communicate insights and opportunities to management. Ensure orders are processed, loaded, shipped, and routed correctly to meet customer expectations. Analyze trailer utilization and conduct load/route planning to reduce freight costs.
Delivery Management and Analysis: Develop insights and report on delivery metrics across a region. Ensure compliance with company policies, supporting the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Vendor Compliance and Performance: Develop and implement policy and procedure changes. Review and analyze vendor scorecards to identify areas for improvement. Support vendor improvement programs.
Process Improvement and Collaboration: Perform trend analyses and develop insights to identify operational issues or areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain and Fulfillment Center Management. Assist in the development of financial and delivery management plans.
Qualifications
Experience in managing carrier relationships and order execution.
Strong analytical skills for data review and trend analysis.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of compliance and company policies.

The annual salary range for this position is $84,000.00 - $126,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include : Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location), Stock.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field and 3 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field OR 5 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Supervisory experience.
