Transportation /Mental Health Specialist | Longview

Responsibilities

• Transport people to and from the Crisis Stabilization Unit and inpatient psychiatric facilities.
• Assist in the admission process, including inventory of personal property and orientation to the unit.
• Absorb and perform activities of daily living as needed.
• Maintain monitoring of behavior within the facility.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Assist with meal preparation and linen service.
• Complete related documentation as assigned.
• Conduct inventory of unit supplies as required.
• File chart documents as necessary.
• Complete required vehicle inspection forms and enter data into vehicle logs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Current valid driver's license in state of residence.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience preferred in providing transport services to individuals requiring inpatient psychiatric services.
• Knowledge of Crisis Stabilization programs and behaviors of individuals requiring psychiatric inpatient services.
• Physical requirements include stamina for long days, ability to work under hazardous conditions due to potentially aggressive consumers, and physical capability to complete Satoria Alternative to Managing Aggression (SAMA), CPR, and First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must be physically able to carry charts and assist with patients (up to 50 lbs.).

• Knowledge of Crisis Stabilization programs and behaviors of individuals requiring psychiatric inpatient services.

Pay

MINIMUM HIRING SALARY PER HOUR: $16.00
