Transportation Mechanic - Iowa Falls, IA

Vehicle Maintenance/Repair

• Service and repair Class 8 trucks, medium and light duty trucks, livestock trailers, tractors, skid loaders.
• Perform wire welding - aluminum and steel.
• Carry out snow removal of truck and trailer lot.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop and work areas.

Duties Provided

• Use basic tools daily.
• Utilize specialty tools provided by Iowa Select Farms.

Physical Demands

• Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, bend, lift up to 10 pounds, and lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Repeat necessary movements such as bending, lifting, and different hand movements as needed to complete tasks.

Work Environment

• Indoors and outdoors, with varying weather conditions.
• Loud noise levels in the work environment and job sites.
• Nuisance levels of gases and dust, particularly in the winter months.
