Purpose
To manage the transportation needs of the Academy and to promote a safe and positive experience in which Fryeburg Academy students can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Manage all travel arrangements including the coordination of Fryeburg Academy vehicles and scheduling of drivers
- Ensure driver pre and post-trip vehicle safety checks are completed, and vehicle maintenance needs are recorded
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to ensure timely maintenance of Academy vehicles
- Recruit, oversee, and retain drivers
- Manage and approve driver payroll
- Cookordination transportation for all programs including residential life, student travel, health and wellness, enrichment program, May Term, academics, co-curricular, professional development, the summer program, and when necessary, athletics
- Drive in support of the residential life program and during travel periods as necessary
Qualifications
- A strong belief in independent education, and particularly the mission of Fryeburg Academy
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Docs; experience with Blackbaud a plus
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to balance office duties and timelines
