Responsibilities
- Manage transportation projects that include bridge rehabilitation and replacement components from concept development through final design and construction support
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including roadway, bridge, traffic, geotechnical, and environmental staff
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong working relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
- Oversee development of plans, specifications, estimates, and supporting technical documentation
- Cookordination with transportation, bridge, geotechnical, roadway, and hydraulic engineers to develop integrated project solutions
- Support or delegate structural design tasks depending on experience and team structure
- Review and ensure compliance with AASHTO, DOT, and local agency design standards and guidelines
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers
- Support proposal development, client presentations, and business development initiatives
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required (Structural or Transportation focus preferred); Master's degree preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required (NJ Preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in transportation and/or bridge design projects
- Proficiency with structural design software (e.g., LEAP Bridge, LARSA, MIDAS, CSiBridge, STAAD, or similar) preferred
- Familiarity with AASHTO and NJDOT bridge design standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client relationships simultaneously
- Experience with proposal development and client outreach preferred

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $115,00 to $150,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
