Position Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Engineering Group Manager to lead our dynamic Transportation Engineering team at one of our offices in King of Prussia, Philadelphia, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves managing the delivery of transportation projects, assisting in market operations, and overseeing the professional development of the team.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the roadway, bridge, and geotechnical team for Pennsylvania.
  • Manage the delivery of transportation projects.
  • Aid in running the Transportation Market in Pennsylvania alongside the Pennsylvania Practice Lead.
  • Oversee goal setting, reviews, salary planning, and business planning, as well as advancing Transportation-specific goals and initiatives.
  • Manage projects involving PS&E and schematics with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Have PennDOT experience and appropriate pre-certifications.
  • Partner with sales and technical leadership to build relationships with DOTs, other transportation agencies, and local clients.
  • Recruit and retain strategic technical talent and top employees.
  • Show good marketing, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Have existing contacts and relationships, along with experience winning and delivering PennDOT projects.

What You Will Bring

  • A bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a year of employment.
  • Experience managing staff.
  • Increasing levels of responsibility in project management, including PS&E and schematic projects.
  • Experience with MicroStation.
  • Experience conducting regular project reviews and oversight of quality control on all assigned projects.
  • Experience leading project teams, including subconsultants, in performing transportation design of transportation projects.
  • Experience working on PennDOT projects.
  • Familiarity with PennDOT design criteria.
  • Experience working on transportation PS&E projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, across multiple teams and disciplines.

Pay Range

$118,200 - $147,800 USD
