Position Overview

We are seeking a Transportation Engineering Group Manager to lead our dynamic Transportation Engineering team in Columbus, Dayton, or Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves managing the delivery of transportation projects, assisting in market operations, and overseeing the professional development of the team.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the roadway, bridge, and drainage team for Ohio, including all technical staff within those specialties.
  • Manage the delivery of transportation projects.
  • Aid in running the Transportation Market in Ohio alongside the Ohio Practice Lead.
  • Oversee goal setting, reviews, salary planning, and involvement in business planning, as well as advancing Transportation-specific goals and initiatives.
  • Have increasing levels of responsibility in project management, including PS&E and schematic projects.
  • Must have PennDOT experience and appropriate pre-certifications.
  • Partner with sales and technical leadership to build relationships with DOT, other transportation agencies, and local clients.
  • Recruit and retain strategic technical talent and top employees.
  • Show good marketing, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Have existing contacts and relationships, along with experience winning and delivering projects for ODOT.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or ability to obtain within a year of employment.
  • Experience managing staff is required.
  • Increasing levels of responsibility in project management, including PS&E and schematic projects.
  • Experience in MicroStation.
  • Experience in conducting regular project review and reporting meetings and oversight of quality control on all assigned projects.
  • Experience in leading project teams, including subconsultants, in performing transportation design of transportation projects.
  • Experience working on ODOT projects.
  • Familiarity with ODOT design criteria.
  • Experience working on transportation PS&E projects.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, across multiple teams and disciplines.

Pay Range

$118,200 - $147,800 USD
