About the role

Stantec is seeking a highly motivated, ambitious, Transportation Roadway Engineers (PE's). The position offers the opportunity to work on small and large high-profile roadway and highway projects. You will prepare construction documents and cost estimates, perform complex engineering design tasks, and train junior level staff.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for roadway and highway projects
  • Perform complex engineering design tasks for highway projects per TxDOT design standards
  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects
  • Train junior level staff on design software packages for roadway 3D modeling

Requirements

  • Proficient in MicroStation and OpenRoads 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design software
  • Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of the TxDOT design/planning procedures, and PSE plan production
  • Able to solve complex problems using sound professional judgement, creativity, and innovation
  • Able to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies
  • Able to participate and collaborate in project team settings, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions to others

Credentials

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum
  • TX PE license
  • Minimum of 5 years highway/roadway design experience
  • TxDOT Precertification preferred

Skills

Pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
