Transportation Engineer I (Permits)

Summary Of Responsibilities

Manage and oversee activities of engineering projects
Approve engineering documents as a Licensed Professional Engineer
Make recommendations to consultants concerning the design of transportation facilities
Interpret and draft professional and technical papers and reports
Apply federal rules and regulations

Requirements

• Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience In Professional Engineer License
  Valid Driver’s License

  Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: NONE
  SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
  Must possess a valid driver's license prior to employment in this job classification.
  Must be licensed as a professional engineer by theKentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors OR must be licensed in another state with the ability to obtain a Professional Engineering license from the Kentucky Board of Engineers and Land Surveyors within the employee's initial six month probationary period.
  Engineering decisions recommended by individuals without a Kentucky Professional Engineering License must be approved by a KRS Chapter 322 Licensed Professional Engineer until licensure is obtained.
