Transportation Engineer, Early Career
About the role
Launch your career in transportation engineering with our team as an early-career Transportation Engineer. In this role, you'll work alongside experienced engineers and project managers to design and produce plans for a variety of transportation projects for state DOTs and local municipalities. You'll gain hands-on experience across geometric design, drainage, pavement rehabilitation, and more, while developing the technical skills and problem-solving abilities that will define your career.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce plans for transportation projects, including rural highways, urban corridors, roundabouts, interchanges, and innovative large-scale transportation initiatives
- Prepare designs, calculations, reports, and cost estimates
- Develop engineering drawings utilizing technical specifications and next-generation plans through digital delivery and 3D modeling technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineer Intern registration, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience a plus
- Strong interest in transportation engineering and improving the safety and efficiency of transportation systems
- Adaptable, self-motivated, and proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset
