About the role
The Transportation Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation systems that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze transportation models to optimize routes and reduce congestion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends in transportation engineering.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate project progress and findings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in transportation engineering.
- Knowledge of traffic flow analysis and GIS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Experience with public transportation systems.
- Understanding of environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with traffic simulation software such as CORSIM or VISSIM.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
