About the role
The Delivery Operations Supervisor will lead the team in ensuring the timely and complete delivery of all orders. This role involves preparing and planning strategies to meet the operation's daily, weekly, and monthly goals, collaborating with senior management, and making recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and complete delivery of all orders
- Work closely with senior management to achieve operational excellence and overall facility success
- Lead the team in achieving performance goals related to productivity, accuracy, and budget
- Make recommendations and improvements to department processes and procedures
- Participate in the hiring, training, and coaching of associates
- Evaluate department performance using operational reports and ensure expectations are met
- Ensure safe work practices and foster a safety culture
- Lead by example and maintain a growth mindset as a leader, customer advocate, and contributor
Requirements
- Ability to accurately calculate and plan headcount to meet objectives
- Foster communication and teamwork among staff and collaborate with all members of your team to ensure successful customer outcomes
- Understanding of and working knowledge of transportation systems and processes, productivity standards, and technology
- Functional knowledge of coaching drivers through check rides
- Able to adopt our safety procedures quickly and ensure safe work practices
- Inclusive nature that seeks common ground, listens to others, and advocates for the best solutions for the customer and employees
- Basic English language skills (verbal and written)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of transportation experience
- Valid drivers' license with a safe driving record acceptable to the company
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Ability to obtain a 6-month DOT medical card specific to the role
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 70 pounds by hand
- At least 21 years of age
