About the role
Moves materials and equipment to and from various locations on university grounds.
Essential Duties
- Reviews instructions; determines type and quantity of material to be moved; locates materials; may disassemble materials for loading.
- Loads materials and/or equipment onto vehicles; may use hand jacks, electric jacks, or fork lifts.
- Drives vehicles which may include trucks, semi-trailer trucks, and moving trailers to deliver items to specified locations.
- Unloads materials from truck.
- May assist in setting up tents and performing other tasks in support of special events.
Minimum Qualifications
- Requires high school diploma or GED and one year of moving experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires driver's license and may require a Commercial Drivers License.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic mechanical skills
- Ability to use fork lift and other power equipment
- Knowledge of moving techniques and procedures

- Hourly rate: $18.25
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
