About the role

Seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to manage vehicle deliveries and pick-ups. No prior experience is needed—just a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a commitment to safety and professionalism. This position requires the ability to walk on average 2-3 miles per shift at times.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and pick up vehicles from various locations such as dealerships and auctions.
  • Check with the sales manager and billing department before leaving to coordinate last-minute instructions or paperwork.
  • Verify that vehicle paperwork matches the vehicle slated for pick-up or delivery.
  • Perform initial verification of checks received for correct amounts and resolve discrepancies with the billing department.
  • Keep an accurate log of daily deliveries and pick-ups, obtaining recipient signatures on each delivery entry.
  • Turn in all paperwork to the billing department upon return to the dealership.
  • Handle basic vehicle maintenance during delivery, including filling the gas tank, checking oil, and keeping the vehicle clean.
  • Perform inspections, document, and report all vehicle damage prior to every pick-up or delivery.
  • Advise the sales manager if a vehicle needs major repairs or maintenance.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the dealership’s image.
  • Use all safety features of each vehicle, including wearing seatbelts at all times when driving.
  • Maintain safe driving habits and practices.
  • Report all accidents involving vehicles immediately, providing a written statement, identification of all parties, contact information for law enforcement, and witness details.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with a commitment to safety on the roads.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with units of American money, weight, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • No prior experience or training required.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to walk on average 2-3 miles per shift at times.

Work Environment

  • Regular exposure to the risk of vehicle accidents and airbags.
  • Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Pay

$14 per hour

Schedule

Part-time to on-call, sometimes only a few hours per month.
