Job Summary
Freight & Transportation Analytics
Analyze freight spend, transportation performance, and network flows to identify savings opportunities and operational improvements.
Develop automated dashboards and KPIs to track transportation cost, carrier performance, and shipment trends.
Support global freight negotiations with data insights, scenario modeling, and rate analysis.
Perform root-cause analysis on cost variances, billing discrepancies, and service failures across all transportation modes.
Principal Responsibilities
- Collects, compiles and analyzes data from various databases and performs statistical analysis for internal customer groups.
- Develops reports and/or creates dashboards providing financial related information needed to make informed business decisions.
- Builds and maintains scalable datasets, reports, and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Excel, etc.
- Improves data quality across freight, transportation, and trade compliance systems by identifying gaps and implementing corrective solutions.
- Presents insights clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams, translating complex data into actionable business recommendations.
- Gathers, aggregates models, and analyzes information from multiple external sources regarding company financial performance, customer insights, competitor profiling, competitive threats, potential product or technical expansion, industry trends and other such business intelligence aspects.
- Establishes standards and procedures for a variety of processes, conducting business analysis resulting in detailed creation and maintenance of business process mapping, requirements and training materials documentation.
- May participate in or lead project teams.
- Identifies, investigates and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures, to include various key performance metrics.

Experience and Education
- Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
- 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, supply chain analytics, transportation, logistics, or trade compliance.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in Excel and Power BI (or other BI tools).
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and drive process improvements.
