Transportation Coordinator

About the role

The Coordinator, Transportation supports the transportation and logistics functions by performing general clerical activities and assisting in backhauls.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls to resolve driver, sales representative and customer issues as needed.
• Communicate with drivers any updates to their routes.
• Utilize software (MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc) to create, update, and communicate various reports and files for proper transportation functioning.
• Create and update reports and files for transportation functioning using software like MS Excel, Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, etc.
• Complete associated paperwork involved in damages and shorts.
• Communicate key information to the proper recipient to support backhaul and transportation operations.
• Aid in scheduling all pick-up appointments for backhaul orders and vendors for the division.
• Support in logistics operations by assisting in scheduling all pick-up appointments for backhaul orders and vendors for the division.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in warehouse administrative or clerical position.
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent telephone and customer service ability.
• Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
• Problem solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.

Skills

• Knowledge of DOT Hours of Service Regulations.
• Knowledge of our geographic delivery area.
• Experience with Omnitracs, Tandem, Kronos, XATA, Manhattan, PowerDock, Airclic preferred.

Pay

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $23-24/hr.

Schedule

Shift: Sunday-Thursday 11:00PM-8:30AM
