Transportation Coordinator

Essential Duties

• Dispatch loads to warehouses
• Learn and be proficient with multiple Transportation Systems to successfully plan, schedule, and deliver all Transportation requests TMW, ESTAT, P44, AXIOM, WEB Access, CCM, TMX, ORBCOMM, P44
• Bill loads and keep records of manifests
• Maintain billing reports
• Understand billing process for warehouse, LTL, and liveload procedures
• Communicate professionally with Shaw drivers as well as internal and external customers
• Think critically and utilize all resources to cover ever changing business conditions

Non-Essential Duties

• File paperwork according to policy

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to operate a computer terminal for a minimum of 8 hours per day
• Must be able to meet physical requirements of Coordinator
• Must be able to perform overtime if required

Eligibility Requirements

• Previous experience in Transportation/Dispatch/Distribution related field preferred
• Billing Clerk experience preferred
• Experience planning labor and scheduling
• Must possess strong computer skills including, but not limited to Excel, Word and other software programs

Safety And Security Requirements

• Must be familiar with accident reporting
• Must be familiar with fuel spill procedures
• Must participate in safety meetings
