Transportation Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes and coordinate transport of appraisal equipment and Ritchie Bros. purchased equipment to the Moerdijk facility.
• Assist non-EU consignors in organizing transport of their equipment from ports to Moerdijk.
• Assist the Yard Manager in facility and asset management, including waste management, yard/building/security maintenance, and utilities tracking.
• Prepare Purchase Orders and ensure EH&S compliance.
• Participate in auction operations, such as setting up stationary and rolling stock, fuelling, refurbishing services, and managing contractors, operators, and part-time yard staff.
• Assist with pre-set consignor budgets and cost sheets for post-auction settlements.
• Collaborate with the Detailed Equipment Inventory team, Customer Service team, and Sales team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working with or knowledge of industrial and/or agricultural equipment, trucks, and trailers.
• Fluency in Dutch and English (oral and written).
• Excellent communication and superior customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and a sense of humour.
• Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
• A clean, valid driver’s license and passport or passport eligibility.
• Flexibility to work overtime hours, including weekdays, weekends, and surrounding auction dates.
• Ability to operate a variety of heavy equipment and trucks.
• Experience working outdoors in all types of weather.
