Supports the Transportation Manager in daily operations by coordinating inbound and outbound freight movements, maximizing fleet utilization, and ensuring exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional after-hours, weekend, or emergency support may be required to meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule company OTR, Line Haul, and Local drivers to ensure on-time delivery and efficient asset utilization.
- Dispatch company drivers and equipment while optimizing routes and load assignments to maximize productivity and reduce transportation costs.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight activities, including customer pickups, deliveries, and carrier assignments.
- Track, trace, and monitor shipments using transportation systems and communication tools, providing timely updates to customers and stakeholders.
- Serve as a key point of contact for transportation inquiries, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of customer concerns.
- Maintain clear communication with drivers, customers, carriers, and internal departments throughout the transportation process.
- Respond quickly to delays, service disruptions, breakdowns, or other transportation exceptions, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Warehousing, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure transportation requirements align with business needs.
- Coordinate inbound raw material and finished goods deliveries to support production schedules and customer commitments.
- Monitor driver compliance with DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and company safety policies.
- Analyze telematics, GPS, and dash camera systems to identify safety opportunities, near misses, service performance, and operational trends.
- Ensure transportation documentation is accurate and complete, including bills of lading, delivery confirmations, driver logs, and shipment records.
- Support regulatory compliance and adherence to all federal, state, and company transportation standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, service levels, safety performance, and cost management.
- Participate in special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts as assigned.
- Support departmental goals through data analysis, operational reporting, and performance tracking.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- 2+ years of transportation, logistics, dispatch, warehousing, or supply chain experience.
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service requirements, and transportation best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.

Pay
